Inspired by Alexey Pajitnov’s original Tetris game, Crystal Office Systems came up with a version of its own. The gameplay in Crystal Office Systems’ Tetris is the same as in the original game: pieces fall from the top and you have to arrange them the best you can; when a row of blocks is formed, it vanishes and you’re rewarded with points.

Crystal Office Systems made its Tetris game available for the two most popular operating systems out there: Microsoft’s Windows and Apple’s Mac OS X. Focusing on Windows alone, it must be mentioned that installing Tetris on a Windows PC is a simple task; it must also be mentioned that the setup wizard that will help you install Tetris will present multiple offers to install additional software.

The interface is just what you would expect from a game of this type. By default, the interface’s size is set to normal; two other size options are available: small and large. Speaking about options, I have to bring up the fact that there are multiple starting level options and multiple starting rows options.

Press the F2 button to start a new game and the F3 game to pause/resume game. Use the up arrow or num pad 8 to rotate a piece counterclockwise. Use the num pad 5 to rotate a piece clockwise. Check out the Help menu to see what other keys you can use, to access strategy info and hints, and to learn more about the Tetris game.
